Ollies are the most essential tricks in modern skateboarding.

At the age of 11, my dad bought me my first ever skateboard. In great excitement, I ride it crazy rolling over our streets all day long. As a beginner, it might seem to be harder than it indeed is but believe me, the moment you step your foot on that board you’ll be freeing yourself, just like life is supposed to be – free! Just like beginners I do fall a lot and got some bruises in my body. However, in life just like skateboarding, you will not learn when you don’t experience such failures.

Skateboarding can be challenging, exhilarating. It is also an incredible way to be out with friends. However, beginners could find skateboarding hard and immediately lose motivation. If you can roll on a skateboard, at that point you already know how to skateboard. Rolling on the streets or any hard surface in your area. It is the most fundamental thing to do when skateboarding. So as a beginner, you must know the basics of skateboarding, just get out of the box, be careless coz’ YOLO.

Days passed. I’m quite curious how to do my first ever trick. Watching tutorials on YouTube pushed me to do my first ollie. At first, it was so frustrating that I can’t do it very well. When I finally landed my first ollie, it was short but completely satisfying. As of now, I already know several skateboarding tricks and manage to perform it with ease.
